The Minister for Universities and Science officially opened the LED 4 Crops facility at STC on July 19 th.
Following his tour of the facility the Minister said ‘I can see how this facility will allow revolutionary changes to be made to future horticultural production’ ‘ I am particularly pleased to see that STC have been able to build a total partnership incorporating Lancaster University , Philips Lighting world experience , Cambridge HOK construction and STC technology transfer skills , to create a seamless knowledge route to growers ‘’ The Fellowship Award gives a base to build the work programme .
